The Echo of Loneliness
In the dark of the night, what does possess?
One to hear, the echo of loneliness.
Shrouded by pain, it starts to consume,
No matter how many, be in the room.
Into yourself, you begin to fade.
Calling for others, alone and afraid.
Screaming aloud, but no one can hear.
As you meld away, as you disappear.
No one to hold, and no one to touch.
Crippled with pain, you seek out your crutch.
The bottle whispers, into your ear.
This voice though quiet, tis one you can hear.
Drawing you close, you hold it tight.
Alone no more, not on this night.
Consciousness fades, your no longer aware.
Of the pain that you felt; no more despair.
Relief is short lived, you can not suppress.
The painful feelings, of loneliness.
